An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems Install and service generators Work with panels, wiring, lighting, outlets, switches, and breakers Diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs Ensure work meets company standards and applicable electrical codes Provide high-quality service to residential and commercial customers
