Shift Industrial Maintenance Electrician Shift:

2nd shift, starting at 1:30 p.m.

Pay:

$28 to $42 per hour, negotiable based on experience

Employment Type:

Full-time, hourly, non-exempt Achilles is recruiting an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician for a heavy manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on plant maintenance role for someone with strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable diagnosing and repairing electrical issues on manufacturing equipment and can also support general mechanical maintenance when needed. We are open to both experienced industrial electricians and multi-craft maintenance technicians whose strongest skill set is electrical. What You'll Do Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical problems on industrial manufacturing equipment Work with 480V and three-phase electrical systems Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, starters, relays, contactors, sensors, and related components Diagnose issues involving VFDs and electrically controlled equipment Read and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals Test circuits, wiring, and equipment using voltmeters, multimeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and components Inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, and needed repairs Support preventive maintenance and equipment reliability programs Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and assist with mechanical repairs as needed Help minimize equipment downtime and keep production running safely Maintain machine guarding, safety devices, and related plant equipment Work closely with production and other maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues Perform additional maintenance duties as needed What We're Looking For Hands-on industrial electrical maintenance or industrial electrician experience Experience troubleshooting electrical systems in a manufacturing, foundry, steel, machining, automotive, heavy industrial, or similar environment Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting Experience with motors and motor controls Ability to safely work around 480V and three-phase power Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to diagnose equipment problems and work through issues independently Willingness to support both electrical and mechanical maintenance needs High school diploma or GED Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is a plus: VFD troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment Control panels and industrial controls Sensors, switches, relays, and contactors Preventive maintenance Heavy manufacturing equipment Foundry or steel-industry equipment Hydraulics and pneumatics Journeyman electrician certification or equivalent experience OSHA Arc Flash training Work Environment and Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on maintenance position in a heavy manufacturing environment.
