Maintenance Electrician

GENERAL PURPOSE

Perform electrical tasks and assist in other maintenance related duties, including but not limited to mechanical, facility and vehicle maintenance repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Routine fault finding, testing, replacing, inspecting, improving, installing, maintaining repairing of all electrical equipment in compliance with all good practice guides
• To carry out general repairs and planned preventative maintenance KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and

ABILITIES

• Electrical safety; Arc flash protective equipment, lockout/tagout procedures
• Blueprint (schematic) reading
• Building (wiring) control cabinets
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair
• PLC (programmable logic controllers), CNC (Computer Numeric Control), 480V 3-phase wiring
• To understand and adhere to the Organization Health and Safety at Work policy, ensuring safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
• Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
• Knowledge of machines and tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
