Job Title:

Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting electrical components on mining equipment, including conveyors, loaders, hoists, and other essential machinery. You will utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan and document your work and read electrical schematics for diagnosing systems. This position requires working on older equipment underground and performing reactive troubleshooting on breakdowns. You will also support mechanical repairs and perform preventative maintenance tasks such as greasing, cleaning, and inspecting stationary equipment. Responsibilities Maintain and troubleshoot electrical components on mining equipment, including 3 phase 480v systems. Utilize CMMS system to plan and document work. Read electrical schematics to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems. Support mechanical repairs and perform preventative maintenance tasks on machines. Operate manual and automatic service hoist systems. Maintain older equipment underground and troubleshoot breakdowns. Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures and electrical safety practices. Essential Skills 3+ years of industrial electrical experience. Proficiency in troubleshooting 3 phase 480v systems. Experience in wiring and circuitry. Ability to read electrical schematics and perform calculations. Additional Skills & Qualifications PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic knowledge. MSHA certification. Experience with mining equipment. Experience troubleshooting voltages above 480v (4160v). Service hoist system operations. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is located in an underground salt mine, requiring work hundreds of feet below ground in large salt rooms. The environment can be dark and dirty, so comfort with such conditions is necessary. Employees work in both underground and surface mine environments, facing variable temperatures, humidity, outdoor weather exposure, noise, and dust. Work areas are generally dry but may have limited visibility, relying on cap lamps or equipment lighting. The role involves navigating uneven, slick, and changing ground conditions, maintaining safety around moving machinery and energized power cables, and meeting physical demands such as prolonged standing, long-distance walking, and extended seated equipment operation. Employees may need to work at heights, lift up to 65 lbs, and climb ladders of 30 ft or more. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Painesville, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80766.40

•$80776.40/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
