Job Description

Facilities Maintenance Technician Do you enjoy being part of a successful team? Partner with the best This is a position in the Facilities Maintenance organization with responsibility for ensuring that the facilities infrastructure and building operations equipment continue to operate in a safe and effective manner while moving towards the goal of "no unplanned downtime" of the Reuter Stokes facility. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Responsible for maintaining/troubleshooting and solving technical issues and opportunities pertaining facilities operations.
  • Responsible for monitoring the condition of the building's utility systems and the general operation of facilities equipment.
  • Assist senior technicians with their projects and day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Perform general labor throughout the facility.
  • Responsible for performing preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Recommend spare parts to keep on-hand, that if not available could potentially impact our customers' ability in meeting their commitments.
  • Be willing to participate in any aspect / component of facilities maintenance.
  • Assist in the monitoring of services provided by outside contractors ensuring EHS policies are followed. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will need to have:
  • High school diploma.
  • 1-year experience in facilities preventative maintenance ideally in electrical, HVAC, construction and/or plumbing.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude in and out of work
  • Have commercial/industrial building maintenance experience, preferred.
  • Ability to effectively work with a variety of teams within the facility as well as independently.
  • Off shift periodically, be on call roughly 1 week/month. Also willing to work overtime, as needed.

  • Have a flexible schedule and be willing to train for "On-call Technician" program.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AA/AS degree in a technical field.
  • Certified with Facilities Maintenance
  • Possess knowledge in at least one of the building codes such as the NEC, UBC, NFC, and UPC.
  • Possess knowledge of multiple aspects of facilities such as boilers, chillers, refrigeration equipment, pumps, plumbing, construction, painting, electrical switchgear, generators along with the operation of natural and propane gas systems.
  • Demonstrated abilities in analytical troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical problems
  • Willing to work as an apprentice technician to senior tradesman (Millwright).
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Customer orientated mindset.
  • Proactive work ethics, creativity, energy.
  • Welding, machining, carpentry, & plumbing skills required
  • Must have general knowledge of most power and hand tools.
