Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installation and maintenance tasks. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and connections safely in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and electrical building codes. Maintain and repair industrial motors, motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation components to ensure optimal operation. Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify faults or issues within complex electrical systems; implement effective solutions promptly. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents or hazards during all phases of work. Collaborate with construction teams on site to install electrical systems according to project specifications while adhering to blueprint reading requirements. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance. Valid journeyman electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), electrical building codes, and safety standards. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and construction drawings accurately. Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), testing equipment (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters), and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Experience working with high-voltage wiring systems; familiarity with industrial motor maintenance and repair is highly desirable. Strong understanding of low voltage systems, motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Construction site experience with the ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required. Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics accurately while following all safety protocols during installation or repairs.
