$25 - $35 per hour Position Overview We are seeking a Electrical Journeyman to perform electrical work on solar installations and service projects. Solar experience is not required, we provide training, but you must hold a valid journeyman license. Key Responsibilities Install, connect, and commission residential solar panel systems Perform electrical connections from solar arrays to inverters and electrical panels Install and configure monitoring systems and electrical safety equipment Conduct electrical system assessments and load calculations Diagnose and repair existing solar system electrical issues Perform routine maintenance and system inspections Troubleshoot inverter, monitoring, and electrical connectivity problems Upgrade and modify existing solar installations as needed Ensure all installations and service work meet local electrical codes, NEC standards, and utility requirements Collaborate with installation and service team members to complete projects efficiently Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding electrical aspects of their solar systems Required Qualifications Valid state electrical license (journeyman or master electrician) Knowledge of residential electrical systems and electrical codes Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints Experience with conduit installation, wire pulling, and panel upgrades Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Physical ability to work on rooftops and in various weather conditions Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of electrical experience Previous experience with solar installations or renewable energy systems NABCEP certification or willingness to obtain Experience with battery storage systems Knowledge of utility interconnection processes Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $25-$35 based on experience (1099 contractor) Comprehensive training program for new electricians entering the solar industry Mentorship from experienced solar installation professionals Stable work with a growing company in the renewable energy sector Flexible contractor arrangement Work Environment This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, primarily at residential properties.
