Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Must have experience with PLCs, VFDs, panel building and wiring control panels. Must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot. Experience wiring equipment is essential. Someone with only electrical experience in the construction or residential electrical industry is not going to be qualified. Must be able to communicate and understand English.
