Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of four years of experience to join our dynamic team. Must have a 4yr. license in Oregon. Commercial experience preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure that electrical work complies with all safety standards, local electrical codes, and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70 standards. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings using hand tools and power tools. Perform electrical diagnostics to identify issues within complex industrial electrical systems and high-voltage wiring setups. Ensure all work adheres to local electrical codes, the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70 compliance standards, and electrical safety procedures. Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while following strict safety protocols. Utilize testing equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to diagnose electrical problems effectively. Collaborate with team members on construction sites or renovation projects, including framing carpentry or handyman tasks when needed. Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including incident reports and inspection logs. Assist in the installation and programming of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation systems. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician and commercial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes. Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately. Proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using voltmeters, ohmmeters, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work safely with high-voltage electrical wiring while following all safety procedures. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects with a focus on electrical installations. Familiarity with low voltage systems and the installation of industrial electrical components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and efficiently in diverse environments. Capable of performing high-voltage wiring tasks safely while adhering to all safety standards. Knowledge of blueprint reading for both construction and maintenance projects; ability to interpret technical schematics accurately.
