Job Description

ACKC Electric is seeking a dependable, motivated, and skilled Electrician to join our growing team. We specialize in residential, commercial, agricultural, and light industrial electrical work. Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment. Install electrical panels, branch circuits, lighting, receptacles, switches, motors, generators, and other electrical equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics. Inspect electrical systems and components, including transformers, disconnects, panels, and circuit breakers. Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and perform necessary repairs. Install EMT conduit, PVC conduit, MC cable, flexible conduit, and underground wiring. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), state, and local regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Communicate professionally with customers and team members. Complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Qualifications Previous electrical experience (residential, commercial, industrial, or agricultural preferred). Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Experience with hand tools and power tools used in the electrical trade. Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with high-voltage systems and electrical safety practices. Ability to operate testing equipment, including multimeters, clamp meters, voltmeters, ammeters, and insulation testers. Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., work on ladders, operate lifts, and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience. Experience with generators, motor controls, VFDs, agricultural facilities, or commercial electrical systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
