Position Overview Title:

Foreman Reports to: President In this role, the Foreman shall supervise Electricians, Journeyman, and Electrical Apprentices while troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following: Use appropriate tools, relevant plans, and written and verbal instructions to service, install, replace, inspect, and test electrical systems, equipment, and components, and to detect and resolve malfunctions and deficiencies. Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or system repairs. Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings. Install, maintain, and repair electrical services, wiring systems, related switches, distribution panels and outlet boxes, and a wide variety of electrical fixtures. Plan, organize, and oversee electrical installations and repairs in residential and commercial properties following all applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Supervise a team of electricians and provide guidance and training as needed, relevant to general procedures, safety procedures, internal controls, and machine operations. Ensures that work is performed efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience. Coordinate with Project Managers, Clients, and other contractors to ensure timely project completion. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used. Maintains tools, equipment, and a clean work area. Inspect jobs upon completion to ensure area is clean. Safety Exhibit commitment to a safe workplace and worksite. Properly wear and utilize PPE as required for every job. Maintain applicable trainings or certifications as required. Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) before starting work, if applicable. Complete Pre-Task Plans (PTP) where required. Report any HSE violations and unsafe findings to Safety personnel. Notify person in charge of any PPE infractions by personnel, subcontractors, or anyone else onsite. Notify person in charge or Director of Safety immediately in the event of an incident, accident, near-miss, if an OSHA/EPA/Country official arrives on-site or when a unique hazard arises. Consult with Director of Safety during job-site observations and audits to review and evaluate any identified safety observations or recommendations.

Qualifications and Other Skills and Abilities:

Diploma or degree with a minimum of ten (10) years' experience and proficient knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety regulations. Proven experience as an electrician in residential and commercial settings. Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to supervise, oversee, train, and coach the Electrical Apprentices and Journeyman. Ability to coordinate and supervise projects as assigned. Excellent problem-solving and problem resolution skills. Ability to be flexible with tasks on hand, multi-task, and prioritize. Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and work safely with minimal instructions. Must have OSHA 30 training (provided). Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Essential Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to work in an environment which may include fumes, odors, chemicals, sawdust, and ash. Ability to work in an environment with noises in the range of 30-85 db. Ability to lift or push up to thirty (30) pounds, or in excess thereof, with the use of proper equipment or assistance. Ability to use hand tools safely. Ability to use electric tools safely. Ability to walk up and down steps, climb ladders, staging and scaffolding and on uneven ground. Ability to bend, twist, reach, stretch and work in tight spaces. Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
