What you will do As a Generator Operator at KEMA Labs, your main responsibilities will include: Operate large diesel and gas generators used for high-power electrical testing. Perform electrical switching on low- and medium-voltage equipment. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems. Monitor generator performance, load control, synchronization, and excitation systems. Support maintenance, repairs, outages, and equipment upgrades. Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and follow all safety procedures. Read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings. Work closely with engineers to execute customer testing projects. Help identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency. What you bring We are looking for someone who: 3+ years of related experience preferred. Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Technology (or equivalent experience). Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read electrical schematics. Comfortable working with rotating equipment. Safety-first mindset.
