Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our dynamic team in maintaining and enhancing our facility's electrical systems. Your expertise will be crucial in inspecting and maintaining the electrical integrity of machinery and equipment across multiple departments. Your primary focus will involve designing detailed electrical schematics, precise wiring and conduit installation, and programming of electrical systems. Familiarity with automation and comfort in reading PLC ladder logic programs are highly desired. Ideally, candidates will hold an electrician journeyman license alongside considerable experience in the electrical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Record and analyze actions, diagnostics, and resolutions for electrical issues encountered during operations. Utilize blueprints and testing devices to thoroughly assess and rectify electrical concerns. Adhere to strict safety protocols, ensuring a hazard-free workplace by reporting inconsistencies to supervisors. Operate a range of equipment such as ladders and lifts to address elevated systems. Execute wiring, install systems, and undertake preventive maintenance checks. Troubleshoot and interpret PLC ladder logic for automated processes. Construct, install, and repair a variety of electrical circuits, equipment, including but not limited to motors and controllers. Conduct thorough inspections, identify malfunction causes and undertake appropriate remediation actions. Engage in robust electrical testing using meggar, voltmeters, and ammeters. Coordinate and instruct team members to maximize operational efficiency. Maintain organizational standards within the workstation.
Essential Qualifications:
Strong understanding of National and Local Electrical Codes. Proficient in blueprint reading with effective communication skills. Clean background check and drug screening required. Licensed driver with substantial experience in industrial environments preferred. Mechanical and physical aptitude desired for sustained, physically-demanding tasks, including safe lifting practices. Highly knowledgeable of contemporary electrical controls and technologies. Educational requirements include a GED or high school diploma and a journeyman certification or extensive experience in industrial electrical work.
