Under the supervision of the Electrical Field Superintendent and Electrical Field Foreman, the Electrical Journeyman is responsible for the installation of electrical wiring and components.
Tasks / Duties
/ Responsibilities General wiring knowledge Installing lighting fixtures Installing receptacles Installing Lighting Control devices Installing and bending various sizes of conduits including ridged Installation of electrical distribution equipment Maintains effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, customers and other trades Assures compliance with the company and customer safety policies and practices Monitors and ensures that the quality of their work is accurate & complete. Effectively manages time and schedules to meet required deadlines Available to travel (stay out of town) for projects. (Working Monday-Thursday, anywhere from 1.5 hours - 4.5 hours from shop) Assures compliance with NEC and local codes Responsible for the safeguards of company equipment, tools and vehicles as well as notification and identifying maintenance needs or issues. Complies with company's core values and appearance to promote a positive company image and culture Available and willing to work off hours or extra hours as the project and/or other projects requires Ensures that good housekeeping practices are maintained

Skill / Ability / Attribute Requirements Ability to read and understand blueprints Capable of clearly understanding and following directions/instructions Exercises effective verbal, written and electronic communication skills Experience using various wiring methods including RX, MC Ability to do repetitive tasks consistently managing production efficiently Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in various construction environments Experience / Education / Certification Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License & reliable transportation Understanding of compliance with NEC and local codes
