Non-Exempt W. G. Tomko is a leading regional mechanical contractor, who is looking to fill a Commercial Electrician position. Excellent benefits are offered, in addition to competitive salaries, based on experience.Position Summary:
Candidates would be expected to perform typical electrician duties within a high volume, production/commercial type environment.Essential Functions:
Electricians are responsible for properly installing, troubleshooting, testing, repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems. Diagnose electrical problems/failures and troubleshooting the issue in a timely manner Install, maintain, and test switches, panels and control devices applicable to plant installations Inspecting and monitoring system equipment and components to identify hazards or defects Complete paperwork related to the job/project Create estimates for electrical work Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:
At least 5 years of experience is (Required) Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems Good communication skills Working efficiently and effectively within the job requirements Must have personal hand tools to completed electrical jobs and projectsSupervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.Work Environment:
This position works in a typical warehouse environment. Pleasant and safe working atmosphere and conditions, which at times may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.Physical Effort:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Standing for long periods, bending and kneeling daily.Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Forty hours per week/Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Other Duties:
