Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Electrician to join our dynamic team. Minimum 3 Years of experience in the electrical field. 5 Years of experience (Minimum) is preferred. Heflin Electric is well-established electrical contractor serving South Central Pennsylvania since 1985. A family-owned operation, we treat our employees like family too. We perform residential, Commercial, & Industrial electrical work and also have a strong, fast-growing Generac Generator portion of the business. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring installation and maintenance in accordance with local electrical codes and safety procedures. Diagnose complex electrical issues within industrial electrical systems using advanced troubleshooting techniques and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with NFPA 70 standards and other safety regulations. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to install wiring infrastructure aligned with project specifications. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation. Assist with Generator Installations. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures. Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, blueprints reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial electrical components. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment. Ability to work safely on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to all safety protocols. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, power tools, hand tools, and handyman skills is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently in complex electrical environments. Must have your own tools.
