What they do
An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

- Life, AD&D, LTD, STD and other optional benefits may be available Responsibilities Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Qualifications Equipment Used:
Experience with electrical tools, i.e. oscilloscope, multimeters, amp-meters, megohmmeters, power meters, process meters, etc. Person must possess above average computer skills that relate to report writing, presentations, spreadsheets, and project management, to include most Microsoft products and must be able to computer knowledge for access to, modification of, and upload/download PLC and panelview programs. Familiar with common hand tool usage including power tools. Educations, Experience, Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent Pass electromechanical maintenance test An AA degree in mechanical, or industrial maintenance a plus PLC experience (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley) a plus 2+ years of manufacturing experience Competencies, Skills, Knowledge Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and industrial skills Must be highly motivated and able to work independentlyPHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Able to see, hear and speak; able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, crawl, squat, kneel and climb. Able to use both arms and hands to use computer, peripherals, and lift 40 pounds from floor level to overhead. Able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms. Able to wear respirator and other PPE as required. Able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.ENVIRONMENT
Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. The employee may occasionally be exposed to lead, fume, noise, dirt, hazards, chemicals, heat and cold.
