Required Qualifications:

Five years of journey-level or practical experience in the electrical trade OR an equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge and understanding of building automation control for electrical system. Some examples are lighting automatized clock systems, window blinds and shades, motorized equipment such as retractable basketball backboards, room dividers, and elevating baseball batting nets. Ability to service, program troubleshoot, modify, and repair of such systems. Knowledge of PC programs and operations to use in conjunction with lighting automation panels. Knowledge and understanding of low voltage controls in an electrical building automation system such as schedulers, occupancy and motion sensors, relay controls light harvesting controls, dimmer controls, and photocell controls. Meet with building occupants to discuss operations and recommendations to support their needs in programing of these systems. Tools used in the conduct of this work include voltage testers, ohmmeters, ampere meters, punches, pipe-threaders, pipe benders, drills, pulling equipment, and a wide variety of hand tools including pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, wire strippers hammers, chisels, power benders.
