Hourly, Non-Exempt Collective Bargaining Unit Purpose :
Position is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical functions.
Essential Job Functions :
Installs, repairs, maintains and modifies all lighting and power circuits, fixtures, controls, motors, pumps, and equipment that is operated from all voltage levels. Performs electrical inspections for preventative maintenance. Determines type and size of wire circuits, fixtures, and boxes, and proper voltage and overload protection necessary. Lubricates and maintains electrical motors, switch gear and related equipment. Maintains phone system, fire alarm systems, fiber optics and security systems. Orders supplies or makes facilities manager aware of materials needed;

Performs other related duties as required. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed

Provides excellent customer service in the areas of guest relations and park beautification: Answers visitor inquiries or finds someone who can; Is knowledgeable of location of exhibits, restrooms, concessions, rentals, etc. Disposes of litter and waste throughout the park and zoo facilities.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills :
Electrician journeyman experience preferred or licensure; ten or more years of experience with electrical systems is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Position works primarily indoors, but works throughout the park and is exposed to outdoors weather. This position can be physically demanding and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
