In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Fire Protection Association), and the NEC (National Electrical Code). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including new constructions, renovations, and high-voltage electrical systems, while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues within complex industrial electrical systems and implement effective solutions promptly. Perform high-voltage wiring tasks safely while adhering to all electrical safety procedures and local electrical codes. Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and other automation components essential for modern industrial operations. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems according to schematics and blueprints. Document all work performed accurately in compliance with safety standards and company protocols; maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and system modifications. Skills Extensive experience working as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Proven commercial electrician experience with knowledge of commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance. Deep familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes to ensure all work meets legal requirements. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and circuit testers. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics diagrams, and blueprints confidently for accurate installation or repair work. Experience working on high-voltage electrical wiring projects safely within industrial or construction environments. Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems including automation controls like PLCs; familiarity with high voltage applications is a plus. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards during installation or maintenance activities. Hands-on experience with construction site work, renovation projects, frame carpentry skills, handyman tasks related to electrical work.
