Industrial Electrician Reading, PA Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for projects located in or around Reading, PA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Install, wire, test, and commission industrial electrical equipment and systems Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, PLC-related equipment, sensors, and control systems Troubleshoot electrical faults using drawings, schematics, meters, and diagnostic equipment Inspect electrical equipment and identify potential failures, hazards, and maintenance requirements Repair or replace breakers, contactors, relays, switches, wiring, and other electrical components Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals Perform electrical testing, insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, and system inspections Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and plant improvement projects Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergency service needs to minimize downtime Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and production teams to resolve equipment issues Maintain electrical tools, test equipment, spare parts, and work areas in safe operating condition Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, standards, permits, and company procedures Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and all site-specific safety requirements
Requirements:
Previous industrial electrical experience Experience troubleshooting motors, controls, VFDs, MCCs, PLC-related equipment, and industrial electrical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance in an industrial environment Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and procedures Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team " Be Safe" from fraud!
