Job Description

Universal Electrical Service, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Field Electrical Industrial Journeyman to join our team in the Souderton, PA area. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on industrial electrical construction experience and can independently perform electrical installations, conduit work, wire pulling, equipment connections, terminations, troubleshooting, and electrical layout. We are looking for a true field electrician—not primarily a maintenance technician—with the hands-on industrial construction experience to step onto a jobsite and get to work. Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on electrical installation on industrial jobsites. Install and bend EMT, rigid, IMC, PVC and other conduit. Pull, terminate, and label electrical wire and cable. Install panels, disconnects, transformers, switchgear, and electrical equipment. Perform industrial equipment hookups and connections. Install power distribution systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-lines, and electrical drawings. Perform electrical layout and rough-in work. Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment. Work with motors, starters, controls, and VFDs. Assist with equipment installation and relocation. Follow NEC, project specifications, and company safety requirements. Work independently and provide direction to apprentices and helpers. Maintain quality, productivity, and jobsite safety. Qualifications Experienced industrial field electrician with strong electrical construction background. Journeyman license preferred based on project requirements. 4+ years of commercial/industrial electrical field experience preferred. Strong conduit installation and bending skills. Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment. Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints. Working knowledge of NEC requirements. Ability to work independently in the field. Valid driver's license. Must be dependable and safety-conscious. Compensation $27-$48 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications, with overtime opportunities.
