Job Description

Position Summary:
The position is primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all types of electrical equipment required by our coal preparation processes in and about the plant facilities in compliance with company policies, state regulations, federal regulations, and applicable National Electric Code Target Responsibilities Accept, embrace and promote the following

Safety, Sustainability & Continuous Improvement Responsible to perform required weekly examinations on assigned equipment to assure the equipment is in safe operating condition Maintain required records of weekly electrical examinations Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs low, medium and high voltage AC and DC motors, circuits and equipment Troubleshoots and repairs frequency motor drives, DC motor drives, atmospheric monitoring equipment, communications equipment and Programmable Logic Controllers Adapt and install new upgraded or substitute equipment or devices, as needed Essential Functions Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires Must be able to work a shift rotation Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively This position is defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles as a heavy job category and must be able to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, pry, work on/near moving equipment and perform any job specific activity as required by job assignment Must possess effective critical thinking and comprehension skills Required Skills and Experience Must be at least 18 years of age Requires current Federal Electrical Card - In lieu of federal card, onsite training is provided to prepare to take the federal electrical test Must be able to work on/near moving equipment as required by job Supervisory/Management skills and experience, preferred
