What they do
An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Education and Experience:
Associate degree in electrical technology or related discipline; and related industry experience OR Electrical Journeyman or Electrical Contractor license; and related industry experience OR Electrical industry training culminating in an industry-recognized credential ( e.g., NCCER) AND Five or more years of related industry experienceKnowledge of:
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application Skilled in: Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication Ability to: Demonstrate and use the technology required for the assigned course Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public Work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and on multiple campuses if neededLicenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
