New Jersey Licensed Electrical Qualifier / Master Electrician (Part-Time) Vikta Energy is seeking a New Jersey Licensed Electrical Contractor / Qualified Master Electrician to join our team as we expand our electrical operations in New Jersey. This is not a full-time field electrician position. The primary focus of this role will be serving as Vikta Energy's licensed qualifier / master electrician in New Jersey and providing licensing, compliance, and electrical oversight as needed. An active New Jersey license is the primary requirement. However, we are especially interested in candidates who also hold electrical licenses or qualifying credentials in the following New York counties: Rockland County, NY (Nanuet area) Orange County, NY (Monroe area) Nassau County, NY (New Hyde Park area) Candidates who can support Vikta's licensing needs in New Jersey and one or more of these New York jurisdictions would be ideal. Responsibilities Serve as the qualifying license holder / responsible electrician for Vikta Energy's New Jersey operations Assist with maintaining company electrical contractor licensing and compliance Provide electrical code guidance and oversight as required Support commercial solar, BESS, EV charging, and electrical construction projects as needed Assist with AHJ coordination, permitting, utility requirements, and inspections when necessary Help ensure electrical work and company processes comply with applicable state and local requirements Provide technical and operational guidance to project and field teams as needed If applicable, support Vikta's licensing requirements in Rockland, Orange, and/or Nassau County, New York Ideal Background Active New Jersey Electrical Contractor / Master Electrician license in good standing required Electrical licenses or qualifying credentials in Rockland, Orange, and/or Nassau County, New York are a huge plus Experience with commercial, industrial, solar, BESS, EV charging, or electrical construction preferred Familiarity with permitting, AHJs, utility inspections, and local electrical requirements Strong communication skills and professionalism Comfortable working in a part-time capacity while maintaining the responsibilities associated with serving as the company's licensed qualifier Employment & Compensation The position is not expected to require a traditional 40-hour workweek. Schedule, expected level of involvement, and compensation will be discussed based on licensing coverage, experience, and the needs of the business.
