What they do

An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS AN ELECTRICIAN INSTRUCTOR
Share your real-world knowledge and experience in our state-of-the-art training facilities Guide students through both theoretical concepts and hands-on applications Teach critical safety protocols and code compliance that you've mastered in the field Mentor students as they develop the technical skills and professional mindset needed for success Help address the critical shortage of skilled electricians in our region Maintain connections to the industry while building the next generation of professionals
QUALIFICATIONS WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN
 AN
ELECTRICIAN INSTRUCTOR
Required:
Master Electrician or Journeyperson license 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work High school diploma/GED (additional education is a plus) Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly Basic computer proficiency
Highly Valued Experience:
High voltage and/or Low voltage is a plus! Experience with modern electrical systems and technology
