This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, schematics reading ensuring all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations. As a vital contributor to our projects, the Journeyman Electrician will help deliver reliable electrical solutions that meet client specifications and project deadlines. Responsibilities Install, inspect, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, adhering strictly to local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts. Maintain compliance with electrical safety procedures and protocols at all times during installation and maintenance activities. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring, conduit installation, and system upgrades. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical components within construction or renovation projects. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety, functionality, and compliance with industry standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in residential and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams effectively. Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems, and industrial electrical components. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and circuit testers for troubleshooting. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration into industrial automation systems. Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures related to electrical work. Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately while adhering to local electrical codes. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail. Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local jurisdiction. Additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus but not mandatory.
