up to 25% overnight travel Position Overview IEG is seeking an experienced Industrial Service Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, install, test, and calibrate electrical and electronic equipment at customer sites across the South Carolina area. This role supports a wide range of industrial environments and requires strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in fast‑paced or high‑pressure situations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Test and measure AC/DC utilities and control circuits Interpret electrical/electronic schematics and technical manuals Diagnose malfunctioning systems, components, and equipment to determine root cause Perform repairs, replacements, adjustments, calibration, and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment Work with 3‑phase power, PLCs, distribution switchgear, transformers, and instrumentation Use electrical test instruments and standard hand tools Install EMT, Rigid, Robroy, PVC, and other conduit types using various bending methods Operate conduit cutting, threading, and reaming tools Communicate effectively with internal departments and customer contacts Lead small teams, delegate tasks, and manage work during critical plant shutdowns Mentor and train apprentice electricians Maintain punctuality; tardiness is not tolerated Required Experience & Skills 2+ years industrial maintenance experience (Journeyman level preferred) Strong understanding of electrical safe work practices Proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance troubleshooting Experience with AC/DC motor troubleshooting (preferred) Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Ability to work heights, walk, stand, and bend for extended periods Ability to work days, nights, and weekends depending on customer needs Education & Additional Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Clean MVR and ability to pass a background check Ability to pass a drug test Reliable transportation to job sites up to 50 miles from the Summerville area Why Join IEG?
