An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
The plumbing on this project is concentrated in three places: the kitchen island, the master bathroom, and the newly added kid-bath tub replacement. The kitchen and master bath are part of the approved remodel scope
Kitchen:
relocate sink and dishwasher to the island This is a complete relocation of the existing kitchen sink plumbing into the new island.
The plumber needs to:
Run hot and cold water to the island. Run a new sink drain and required venting to the island. Provide the dishwasher water supply and drain connection . Reinstall the homeowner's existing dishwasher in the island. Install the new Elkay Quartz Classic 33" undermount single-bowl white composite sink . Install the Pfister Courant two-handle bridge faucet with side spray, polished chrome . Install shutoffs, trap/drain connections and related fittings. Pressure/leak-test everything and verify dishwasher drainage/operation
Master Bathroom:
New shower location, toilet, and sink vanity
Toilet:
The toilet is being relocated to the back-left corner of the master bathroom and is intended to face toward the shower. This requires the new toilet rough-in/flange and final toilet installation.
shower:
This is approximately a 9' × 4' walk-in shower , so the plumbing includes: New/relocated shower drain. Two shower-head rough-ins. One standard/fixed shower head. One shower head with a detachable/handheld hose. Chrome finish. Final valves/controls, shower arms, heads and trim. Final leak and operation testing. 3.
Kid bathroom:
new tub and replumbing Set/connect the replacement bathtub. Connect/reconfigure the tub drain and overflow as necessary. Reconnect/rework hot and cold supplies. Rough/install the tub/shower valve. Connect the tub spout. Connect the shower arm/head. Test the tub drain, overflow, valve and shower for leaks the electrician's work is concentrated in the kitchen, dining room/closets, master bathroom, and master-bedroom doorway . I would give the electrician the following scope. Kitchen / kitchen-living wall Remove, relocate, or reroute any wiring/devices affected by removal of the kitchen/living-room wall. Provide the required electrical/receptacles for the new kitchen island . Coordinate island electrical with the final cabinet, sink and dishwasher locations before the hardwood closes up the floor. Relocate/add outlets and switches as required by the new kitchen cabinet layout. Lay out countertop receptacles so they work with the new Cloe herringbone backsplash rather than having to cut/move them afterward. Reinstall the homeowner's existing microwave above the stove and verify its existing circuit/location works with the new cabinet configuration. Any electrical discovered inside the load-bearing wall has to be rerouted before the opening is finished. Dining room Install the new receptacles shown on the client's dining-room drawing. Install the new single-pole switches shown on the drawing. Install the new recessed lights shown on the drawing. The drawing legend specifically uses R = receptacle, S = single-pole switch, L = recessed light , but the current text scope does not give me a reliable final device count; those quantities/locations should come from the latest drawing. Coordinate device locations with the new dining cabinetry, quartz and herringbone backsplash. New pantry / coat closets This should probably be the electrician's next immediate work , since you've already framed these closets. Rough in the closet lighting. Rough in the associated switches. Install/relocate any receptacles associated with the closet buildout shown on the plans/sketch. Get all of this roughed while the studs are exposed before your handyman drywalls the closets . The approved scope specifically calls for pantry/coat-closet lighting, switching and receptacle/switch work. Master bathroom Provide electrical supply and control for the heated master-bathroom floor . Install the thermostat/control at the final agreed location. Coordinate the heating system with the approximately 94.5 sq. ft. master-bath tile floor . Test the heating system as required before/after tile installation. Relocate electrical that conflicts with the completely changed bathroom layout, wall modifications, vanity location or other remodeled conditions. Coordinate any affected electrical before the shower/backer board, vanity and drywall close the walls. Master-bedroom doorway Relocate one existing receptacle a couple of studs over because of the new doorway location. Since you've already framed the old and new door openings, do this now before the handyman closes those walls. Final electrical trim-out Install devices, covers, switches and fixtures after drywall/cabinets/tile are finished. Complete the heated-floor thermostat connection. Complete island receptacles. Complete dining/closet lights and switches. Complete microwave connection/reinstallation. Verify operation and complete whatever inspection/permit requirements apply.
