Responsibilities Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in industrial and commercial environments. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to guide installation and troubleshooting processes. Conduct diagnostics on electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults or inefficiencies. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and industrial electrical equipment. Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, local codes, and industry best practices to prevent hazards or accidents. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment effectively during installation, repair, or renovation projects. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial or commercial electrical systems. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes. Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Experience with industrial electrical systems including low-voltage control wiring. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and circuit testers. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is highly desirable. Construction site experience or renovation project background is preferred. Ability to work safely following all electrical safety procedures while handling power tools and hand tools effectively.
