Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

The Electrical Helper in industrial electrical work is a skilled support professional who assists electricians and lead technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems. Key Responsibilities Assist with the installation of conduit, cable trays, and industrial wiring systems Install underground duct bank conduit systems Pull, route, and secure electrical cables Support installation of motors, control panels, transformers, and switchgear Use and maintain hand tools and power tools properly Read basic blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations Perform basic troubleshooting under supervision Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Strong understanding of electrical safety practices Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, climbing, bending) Basic knowledge of electrical theory and components Good teamwork and communication skills Ability to follow instructions accurately
Preferred Qualifications:
