CET Job Summary:

This position is located at the Milliken Cushman site in Williamston, SC and reports to Engineering. This position is responsible for maintaining the plant production equipment and auxiliary equipment (including material handling, pumps, motors, air compressors, boilers, & chillers) at or above expected physical condition so as to produce high quality products on schedule, keeping required maintenance records and schedules and needed parts and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies drives, gages and test equipment

Reinstall guards and safety equipment correctly after completion of any work

Ensure

motors, breakers and other equipment switches are in good working order.

Read electrical drawings and ensure electrical components of machinery are operating properly.

Assist other engineering associates to perform work as required to keep production machinery and auxiliary equipment in working order.

Inform appropriate management and maintenance/production associates of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.

Assist Maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting

Demonstrate a high level of safety consciousness and fully participate in the

Milliken Safety Process Qualifications:
  • Preferred Two-year technical degree in an electrical-related field
  • Through knowledge or electrical/electric components and equipment including PC hardware components, desktop operation system software and application software. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in the following: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Able to work well with various groups of people such as vendors, customers, Milliken associates whether individually or in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and use resources creatively Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Able to work well and communicate with production associates in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting
