Job Description

Join BAC Dayton as an Electromechanical Wiring & Test Specialist Help us deliver equipment that exceeds customer expectations by assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems — including occasional Trillium model builds — in partnership with our Dayton Operations Team. We thrive on Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation. What you will do Interpret and apply machine, mechanical, and electrical blueprints and technical specs. Wire 3-phase power and motor controls; integrate transformers, PLCs, 120 Vac and 24 Vdc control circuits, switches, sensors, and transmitters. Conduct end-of-line functional tests; use a multimeter daily and perform Hi-Pot (dielectric) tests when required. Troubleshoot logic controls and evaporative cooling tower components. Adhere to the National Electrical Code and safety standards; work at heights with proper fall protection. Flex across different stations and lines to meet demand. Complete accurate paperwork and department reports using intermediate computer skills. What you bring Ability to read electrical diagrams/schematics and electronic circuit drawings. Minimum 2 years of motors and controls maintenance/troubleshooting experience. Minimum 2 years of wiring experience; PLC programming experience is desired. Quality mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and strong safety record. Working knowledge of the NEC and comfort using electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeter). How we work Reports to a Team Leader on the BAC Dayton assembly line. Partners closely with other departments in the facility to meet production goals. Operates in a 24-hour environment with potential assignment to any shift; some travel may occur.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The working environment includes lifting up to 50lbs. Standing is to be expected up to 80% of the time. Additional activities include walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and sitting. Fine hand manipulation of controls is needed as well as hand eye coordination to perform changes. Working hours can include any of three shifts and generally are scheduled for forty hours a week. Longer than 8 hour days and some weekend overtime is to be expected to adequately support production requirements and company initiatives.
