Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and local electrical codes. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system setups. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and maintenance on industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues within complex electrical systems. Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure, including low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical systems. Follow electrical safety procedures diligently while working on construction sites or renovation projects involving high-voltage or low-voltage wiring. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment; assist with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation as needed. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician in industrial and commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills. Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures. Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring and troubleshooting complex electrical systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic meters (including ohmmeters), and other electrical testing equipment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly through electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Construction site experience or involvement in renovation projects is highly desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards. Relevant certifications such as electrician license or journeyman certification are preferred; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
