Vector Power is looking for skilled electricians who want to expand their expertise and build a career in electrical testing, commissioning, and power systems. Through Vector Power's Electrical Testing Training Program, you will receive hands-on training, field experience, and mentorship from experienced testing professionals while developing the specialized skills needed to succeed in the electrical testing industry. What You'll Learn As part of the program, you'll develop knowledge and practical experience in areas such as: Electrical acceptance and maintenance testing Low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems Switchgear, transformers, breakers, and protective devices Power distribution systems Protective relays and controls Grounding and electrical system testing Cable testing and diagnostics Commissioning of electrical systems and equipment Electrical test equipment and instrumentation Reading electrical drawings, one-lines, and schematics Test procedures, documentation, and reporting Electrical safety and job-site best practices Industry standards and testing procedures You'll combine classroom and technical training with hands-on field experience. Successful candidates will have:
Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent electrical experience preferred Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment Experience working with electrical distribution systems Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and one-lines Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Commitment to safety and quality Strong attention to detail Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems Professional approach to working with customers and project teams Willingness to travel and work at customer job sites Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and desire to develop new skills Prior electrical testing experience is not required. We are looking for electricians with the right foundation, attitude, and desire to learn.
