Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical work complies with all safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation and construction sites. We most do residential work and some commercial work. We are a small and new family owned business looking for someone we can count on to help us build and expand the business. As we grow and get bigger we will be able to offer more benefits. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential environments, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults or issues within complex systems. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously during all phases of work to prevent accidents or hazards on construction sites or renovation projects. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to install or repair electrical. Must be able to run new raceways such as EMT, Rigid, PVC and cable tray. Skills Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in residential and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance standards, and blueprint reading. Proficient in diagnosing electrical problems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and troubleshooting equipment. Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings accurately. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment at all times. Construction site experience including renovation projects; familiarity with construction processes is a plus. Handyman skills that support versatile problem-solving across different types of electrical work. $31.50 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
