- Posted on September 10, 2026 Published By Roberto Venegas We are seeking experienced Commercial Journeyman Electricians for a long-term construction project in Amarillo, TX.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Must possess a valid Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Journeyman Card
- Experience on commercial construction projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to take daily work assignments and complete tasks without constant oversight
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
Required Commercial Electrical Skills:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications
- Installing EMT, RMC, PVC, and other raceway systems
- Conduit bending using hand and power benders
- Pulling and terminating wire and cable
- Installing electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, and distribution equipment
- Installing lighting systems and lighting controls
- Installing receptacles, switches, and branch circuits
- Running underground and above-ground electrical systems
- Performing equipment rough-in and final trim work
- Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements
- Troubleshooting electrical systems and identifying issues
- Working safely around energized and de-energized systems
