Job Description
- Per Diem Offered Amarillo, Texas
- Posted on September 9, 2026 Published By Brad Purinton Trillium Construction is now seeking Equipment Operators in Amarillo, TX! Job starts on 9-30-25 and will be working 40+ hours per week, day shifts. Pay range is $30
- 38 based on experience. $100/day per diem is available for all days worked. This is a large commercial project and will be 2-3 months of work. 1. Excavation for Underground Electrical Utilities Trenching for:
- Primary and secondary power conduits
- Site lighting conduit runs
- Communication/data (low voltage) conduit pathways
- Depths and widths vary based on code (e.g., NEC), site drawings, and utility requirements. 2. Pad and Equipment Excavation
- Digging and prepping pad locations for:
- Transformers
- Switchgear vaults
- Generators
- Pull boxes and handholes 3. Backfilling and Compaction
- Backfilling trenches after conduit installation using the Case 580 or Cat 310.
- Layered backfill and compaction using equipment or plate tampers as required by compaction specs. 4. Rough Grading
- Preparing ground for concrete pads or slab pour areas.
- Setting elevations as directed by grade stakes or GPS.
- Coordination with civil teams to avoid rework. 5. Material Handling
- Moving and staging:
- Conduit bundles
- Vaults or boxes
