Responsible for maintenance and repairs of district electrical systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution, required.
Experience:
Valid Texas driver's license and a satisfactory driving record Valid State of Texas Apprentice Electrician License (required) - Journeyman Electrician License (preferred) Three years' electrical maintenance experience required

Effective reading, writing, communication and interpersonal skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
I.
ELECTRICAL OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle with or without reasonable accommodation Must be able to work at heights up to 50 feet with or without reasonable accommodation Must be able to work under limited supervision Responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems for AISD facilities Maintains assigned vehicle, equipment, and tools to ensure safe operating condition Coordinates with Electrical Foremen and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders Inspects electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition Identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions Position may require overtime, as necessary to maintain function of District facilities Position will respond to service calls in a timely manner while serving on-call duty, as necessary to maintain function of District facilities Any other duties as may be directed by your immediate supervisor and/or any other supervisor within your line of authority

IV. EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE SKILLS
All the following hand tools and power tools associated with the electrical trade, but not limited to drills saws, hammer drills, pneumatic and electric man lifts, scaffolds ladders, basic hand tools, electronic test equipment, and trenchers, etc.
Lifting, carrying or pushing or pulling up to 55 or more pounds continuously.
