In this vital role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical systems, ensuring all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations. Your expertise will drive efficient project execution, team management, and quality assurance to deliver safe and reliable electrical solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your extensive electrical knowledge in a dynamic environment while mentoring junior electricians and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities Master Electrician:
Electricians will assemble and wire custom electrical and control panels, circuit breakers, terminal strips, Variable Frequency Drives, field instrumentation, Programmable Logic Controllers ( PLCs ) and other components (conduit, supports, etc.). Proficient on installing, repairing and Troubleshooting Field sensors, instrument, limit switches, solenoid valves. Familiar with Analog instrumentation 4-20mA,
  • 10Vdc, 2wire, 3 wire sensors, Thermocouples and Pt100.
They will also assist in startup of systems including troubleshooting and optimization. Must have extensive hands on experience with electrical power and control circuit, testing, and troubleshooting, and be able to read and understand schematics, mechanical and process drawings. Proficient on the use of electrical meters: Multi-meters (ohm, AC & DC Amp, AC & DC volts, Meggers). A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic controls is essential.
Preferable:
ability to perform tasks in high voltage switchyard electrical systems:
  • Perform Maintenance routines on 480 Switch Gear, MCC panels.
  • Isolate power on High voltage poles 13.8KV.
  • Replace Fuses and Fuse Holders on 13.8 KV poles.
  • Work on Heights with the appropriate fall protection devices.
At least 5 years of experience.
MUST HAVE
Texas Electrician license as
MASTER ELECTRICIAN
. They should be able to analyze and propose solutions in the field and perform installation according with the NEC. Proficient on Servicing/replacing AC and DC motors form 1/4hp up to 250hp. They must be able to supervise electrical installations and personal. Proficient on the use of electrical meters: Capacitance and inductance meters, Ground meters, Scope and Power meters. Have hands-on knowledge and abilities to perform and supervise all the activities listed under "Electrician". Lead the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial and commercial electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage circuits. Interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and technical documents to ensure precise execution of electrical work. Manage teams of electricians on construction sites or industrial facilities, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and building codes. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical building codes. Review blueprints for electrical drafting, interpret section blueprints for accurate installation, and verify schematic accuracy before implementation. Install, test, and commission electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrical systems, and low voltage wiring. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, shift logs, and project progress reports. Promote electrical safety procedures across all projects to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Experience Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of electrical schematics reading, blueprint review for electrical drafting, and interpreting technical drawings. Hands-on experience working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems within construction or industrial settings. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Familiarity with building code compliance related to electrical work in various jurisdictions. Experience working on renovation projects or construction sites with a focus on electrical system upgrades or new installations. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, testing devices such as ohmmeters, and troubleshooting equipment related to industrial electrical systems.
