The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in electrical systems, including high voltage applications, and demonstrate proficiency in commercial electrical work. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the ability to read blueprints effectively. The Master Electrician will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations, renovations, and maintenance projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings. Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring all work meets NEC standards. Utilize power tools and equipment safely and efficiently for various electrical tasks. Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose problems. Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems. Collaborate with other tradespeople during renovations or new construction projects. Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations. Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on best practices in the field. Skills Proficient in working with logic controllers for automated systems. Strong understanding of high voltage systems and safety protocols. Excellent blueprint reading skills for accurate installation and renovation work. Experience as a commercial electrician with a focus on both new and existing projects. Ability to effectively use power tools for installation and repair tasks. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing electrical issues. Knowledge of NEC regulations to ensure all work is compliant with industry standards. Ability to build effective working relationships with team members and clients.
