In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 70) and the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation and construction sites to high-voltage electrical systems, delivering safe and reliable electrical solutions that keep operations running smoothly. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards and local electrical codes. Diagnose complex electrical issues within industrial systems, utilizing advanced troubleshooting techniques including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical diagnostics tools. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical infrastructure during renovation or construction projects to ensure ongoing safety and operational efficiency. Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards during installation or repair activities, including working with low voltage systems and high-voltage wiring. Document all work performed through detailed reports, logs, and inspection records to maintain compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Requirements Valid journeyman electrician license with proven experience in both industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC standards, NFPA 70 regulations, and blueprint reading skills. Demonstrated experience with high-voltage wiring, industrial electrical systems, low voltage applications, and renovation projects. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints; ability to interpret technical diagrams accurately. Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing issues within complex electrical systems using multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), power tools, hand tools, and construction site environments. Excellent understanding of electrical safety procedures to ensure safe work practices on construction sites or during maintenance activities. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
