In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems within multifamily residential properties. Your expertise will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electrical operations across various units and common areas. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse electrical projects, from troubleshooting complex systems to performing renovations, all while adhering to the highest safety standards and local electrical codes. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues within multifamily residential units and common areas using electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Perform electrical repairs, installations, and upgrades in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes. Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, high-voltage wiring, industrial electrical systems, and commercial electrical systems across multiple properties. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise execution of projects. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures, ensuring compliance with electrical safety procedures. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for wiring, conduit installation, circuit breaker replacements, and other electrical tasks. Collaborate with property management teams on renovation projects, construction site work, or emergency repairs to minimize downtime and maximize safety. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial or commercial electrical systems; multifamily property experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures related to high voltage and low voltage wiring. Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, technical diagrams, and blueprints reading skills are essential. Hands-on experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving high-voltage wiring or industrial electrical systems. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, testing equipment (e.g., voltmeter), and safety gear required for electrical work. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform detailed diagnostics on diverse electrical systems efficiently. Valid electrician license or certification as required by state law; additional certifications in industrial or commercial wiring are advantageous.
