Job Summary Hobo Electric is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician (must have minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar role) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Fire Protection Association), and the NEC (National Electrical Code). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including construction sites, renovations, and maintenance of complex electrical systems. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring work safely in accordance with NFPA 70 compliance standards. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and troubleshooting techniques to identify faults quickly. Maintain and upgrade low voltage and high voltage electrical systems within industrial facilities or commercial buildings. Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Read blueprints and electrical schematics accurately to plan wiring layouts for new installations or renovations. Work on construction sites or renovation projects, collaborating with teams to meet project deadlines while adhering to local electrical codes. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety, compliance, and optimal performance. Experience Must possess 2+ consecutive years of recent experience in a similar role. Candidates must demonstrate steady employment history in their resume. Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems and commercial electrical work. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently using diagnostic tools like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Experience working on high-voltage wiring projects in industrial environments or construction sites. Familiarity with NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is essential. Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical blueprints accurately. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation is a plus. Prior involvement in renovation projects or construction site work is highly desirable. Ability to operate power tools safely while adhering to all safety procedures related to electrical work. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical issues efficiently. Job Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm (some overtime is expected due to work requirements)
