About the Position DDC Electrical Contracting is a building automation system (BAS) installation company specializing in commercial HVAC controls. We are looking for an experienced Texas-licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our field team and help us expand our electrical installation work. Initially, most of your time will be spent working alongside our BAS installation crews. You will install conduit, control wiring, panels, and field devices while also performing electrical work as projects require. Our current electrical work is limited and generally supports our BAS and HVAC projects, including variable frequency drive (VFD) relocations and HVAC equipment power disconnects and reconnects. This is a hands-on field installation position. Our BAS scope is installation only; BAS programming, system checkout, and commissioning are performed by others. What You Will Do Initially

• Install conduit, raceways, control panels, controllers, sensors, and other BAS field devices.
• Pull and terminate control wiring and low-voltage cabling.
• Read electrical drawings, control diagrams, schematics, and installation documents.
• Perform electrical work as assigned, including HVAC equipment power disconnects and reconnects, VFD relocations, and associated wiring.
• Identify and troubleshoot wiring and installation issues while following safe work practices and project requirements.
• Coordinate with our installation crews, HVAC contractors, general contractors, and other trades while maintaining quality workmanship and organized jobsites.

How the Role Can Grow We intend to pursue additional electrical projects. As that work grows, responsibilities may include commercial electrical installations, equipment power connections, motor and VFD-related work, troubleshooting, and planning small electrical jobs. Your experience and input will help us develop this part of the business, with opportunities for increased responsibility as the workload grows. You must be comfortable performing BAS installation work from the start. This is not an electrical-only or management position at hire. Required Qualifications

• Current, valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
• Commercial electrical installation experience with conduit, wiring, terminations, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to work primarily on BAS installations initially and learn our installation methods.
• Ability to work independently and with a crew, communicate professionally, and take ownership of safe, quality work.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to safely use installation tools and work from ladders and lifts.

Preferred Experience Experience with HVAC equipment electrical connections, VFDs, motor controls, building automation, or HVAC controls is valuable. Previous BAS experience is helpful but not required; we are willing to train the right person with strong commercial electrical skills. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $35.00-$40.00, based on experience and qualifications.

Paid vacation and sick leave:

After 90 days of employment, one week of paid vacation and one week of paid sick leave annually. After three years, two weeks of paid vacation and one week of paid sick leave annually.

Mileage reimbursement:

Mileage beyond the first 40 miles each way to and from assigned jobsites is reimbursed in accordance with company policy. The first 40 miles in each direction are not reimbursed.

Potential company vehicle:
