Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PLC/Industrial Controls Electrician to join our Clay County, TX maintenance team. This role is essential in ensuring the reliable operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex industrial automation systems during night shifts. As a key player in our industrial environment, you will be responsible for diagnosing electrical and control system issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help maintain optimal equipment performance, safety, and efficiency across our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Experience with VFDs (variable frequency drives) Troubleshoot robotics Computer based troubleshooting; e.g. PLC and VFD Familiar with contacting technical support; e.g. Fanuc Robotics Operate automated machinery to test for malfunctions and to verify repairs Knowledge of NEC (national electric code) Experience with multi meters and hand tools Communicate clearly with management and fellow team members Perform preventive maintenance in a timely manner Able to return to work when needed for unforeseen breakdowns Regular and reliable attendance is required Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, climb and lift 50 lbs. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in PLCs, industrial controls, electrical diagnostics, and automation systems. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and ability to follow strict safety protocols at all times. Mechanical knowledge combined with industrial maintenance experience to support comprehensive troubleshooting efforts. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks; capable of working independently during night shifts while maintaining safety standards This position pays based on experience, certifications and training, however can start at $30/hour and go up from there.
