Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking energetic and dedicated Traveling Licensed TDLR Journeyman Electricians to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert electrical services across multiple construction sites and renovation projects, ensuring all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse industrial and commercial electrical systems, utilizing your troubleshooting skills and electrical expertise to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. As a traveling electrician, you will be instrumental in supporting ongoing projects, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction across various locations. Duties Install, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems on construction sites and renovation projects. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring and system setups. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and troubleshooting techniques to identify faults efficiently. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring work safely in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and local electrical codes. Conduct testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring tasks, system upgrades, or repairs accurately. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety protocols and quality standards. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Deep knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance, NEC standards, and local electrical codes for safe installation and maintenance practices. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams. Ability to work with high-voltage electrical wiring safely on construction sites or renovation projects. Proficiency with testing instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools for accurate troubleshooting. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and electrical blueprint reading is highly desirable. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures, construction site safety protocols, and renovation best practices. Experience working on construction sites or in renovation environments with the ability to adapt quickly across different locations. Excellent hand tool proficiency along with power tools necessary for complex wiring tasks. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while adhering to all safety regulations.
