An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. 5-7 years of electrical assembly, industrial electrical maintenance, electrical equipment repair, or closely related experience. Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose, repair, integrate, and test complex electrical equipment and control systems. Advanced working knowledge of industrial electrical components, wiring methods, motors, drives, control circuits, power distribution, and electrical equipment applicable to assigned work. Ability to interpret complex wiring diagrams, schematics, bills of material, system documentation, specifications, and approved test procedures. Ability to use approved hand tools, termination tools, torque tools, and electrical test instruments safely and accurately within training and authorization. Ability to use required personal protective equipment. Respirator use, when required by the assigned task, is subject to applicable medical evaluation, fit testing, and training.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Vocational, technical, apprenticeship, or associate-level training in electrical technology, industrial electricity, electronics, or a related discipline. Experience repairing electrical systems on Canrig or other OEM drilling equipment, including top drives, powered catwalks, drawworks, control consoles, motors, drives, or related assemblies.Electrical Inspection, Repair, and Assembly Primary Skills:

- Circuit Analysis Inspect, diagnose, repair, overhaul, wire, integrate, assemble, and prepare complex electrical components and drilling equipment for return to service under approved drawings, procedures, and specifications.

Performing Daily Inspections- Component Testing

- Data Recording Review electrical equipment condition and identify damaged conductors, terminals, connectors, insulation, components, labels, or other nonconforming conditions.

Performing Maintenance Checks- Maintenance Task Analysis

- Report Equipment Malfunctions Complete and support complex preventive maintenance and service activities for assigned electrical equipment and shop test assets.
