Install, repair, and upgrade wiring systems, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers in accordance with the NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Perform low voltage wiring installations for security systems, home automation, and communication devices. Utilize power tools safely and efficiently during installation and renovation projects on construction sites or existing homes. Conduct routine maintenance inspections to identify potential hazards or system failures before they occur. Collaborate with homeowners to explain work performed and recommend solutions for ongoing electrical needs. Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each service call or project. Qualifications Proven experience as a residential electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in homes. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus but not required; relevant industrial or commercial electrician experience is beneficial. Familiarity with construction site procedures, schematics interpretation, and renovation projects. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, low voltage wiring techniques, and high voltage systems. Knowledge of NEC standards and safety protocols for electrical work in residential environments. Ability to use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately. Experience working with construction framing carpentry or handyman tasks is advantageous. Strong sales ability and problem-solving skills combined with excellent communications to interact effectively with clients and team members.
