An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in San Angelo, Texas. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, can lead crews effectively, and has experience on commercial construction projects. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades. Train and mentor apprentice electricians. Work alongside crew members in the field and actively participate in the work—not just direct or delegate tasks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Qualifications Texas Journeyman Electrician License (required). Commercial electrical experience. Ability to lead crews and keep projects on schedule. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to read blueprints and electrical plans. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
